How To Roll The Texture On Barrisol Ceiling
Barrisol ceiling – Paint a roof with a structure color to add an additional level of interest to a room’s interior. Acoustic color, also known as popcorn color, has texturesandlike materials mixed in the color. The orange peel color has a finer grain of textured material that gives a more subtle, gravel texture. Roll textured paint on the ceiling to give a room more depth and distinction. Gather the right material to make your job easy and painless. Use texture color as a base to add a three-dimensional look to a color tint.
Cover the floor with a plastic dust sheet. The tape where the wall meets the barrisol ceiling to protect against paint splatters on the wall. Line the masking tape horizontally against the seam on the wall and press firmly. Cover luminaires or ceiling fan openings with masking tape. Climb a ladder and spray the entire ceiling with white-pigmented shellac. Hold the can 8 to 12 inches from the roof surface when spraying.
Mix your textured color. Use a painting stirring bar to mix the color. The color should have some separation in color or material. Pour one liter or two of color into a paint tray. Slide thick ripped roll on the roller handle. Roll the brush in texture and carefully coat the roller. You should be able to lift the roll with minimal color drops from the edges. Screw on roll extenders. Start rolling the paint on the barrisol ceiling, with long, even stroke. Place the paint tightly on the ceiling. Paint in small areas to ensure even coverage.
